Yea Moneyhill. We’ve gotten clobbered last few hours. Several inches of rain. I don’t have a rain gauge here but it’s gonna be up there.

I'm in Denham, south of I-12 off Juban. Still raining, although not hard. Occasional gusts. Hope we've seen the worse. Lost power twice for a short period, but the generac took over.

I'm on the east side of Ponchatoula, and rain has definitely eased up. Still some stiff gusts, but it feels like things are improving.
Yeah I’m over on the west side. Definitely better now than 30 - 45 mins ago.

This evening kind of sucked. Found out my buddy's house half mile away was taking on water at 8:30. Father in law and I waded through water down to their house to see if we could help get things up. Four to five inches in the house. Floors and I guess cabinets are ruined.
Where? Metairie? If so, what part?

Tonight has opened my eyes up (they should’ve been open anyways) to how quickly water can rise when you rely on municipal pumps. We had 5+ inches of rain in about 3 hours and the water was higher than I’ve ever seen it.
New Orleans/Jefferson Parish got lucky IMO, this could’ve been a Harvey situation if Franny was moving a little slower/backfilling
