I disagree on this Fradella bashing. I don’t think he fear mongers at all.

He's surprised Francine was a 1 seed. Was pretty sure she would have gotten a 2 or a 3 seed.

RI chances are at least 30% higher than average, hence the 1.3x climb comment below the 20kt/12hr column, but only a 7% chance. 60% higher than normal for 25kt/24hr, but “only” an 18% overall chance.

Whoever thinks Fradella is a fear monger has definitely never been introduced to our local baw Rob Perillo.

The downvotes on your comment beg to differ. I had to stop looking at stormcast for that reason.

There should be a separate thread that’s view only except for about 5 posters with useful information
didn't we used to have this a couple years back?

No doubt.
The good news is that this storm is hitting at a good angle for the East Bank New Orleans area. Not great for West Bank and North Shore.

This fella doesn't sound worried at all.

NWS forecast discussion:
Issued at 149 PM CDT Tue Sep 10 2024
quote:
Wet conditions will continue through tonight and into Wednesday as
showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible ahead of Tropical
Storm Francine. Eventually, the system will continue north and
east toward central and southeast Louisiana. The track has shifted
slightly over the last 12-24 hours bringing the center in closer
to Terrebonne and eventually moving north into the Baton Rouge
Metro area. Because of this, added more inland Parishes to the
Hurricane Warning earlier today. Additionally, with the eastward
shift had to add Mississippi Gulf Coast to the Tropical Storm
Warning.
With the storm moving further into the CWFA, expect impacts to
spread across the region into by Wednesday morning with rain and
winds increasing as well as increasing water levels along the
coast. By this time wind shear will increase and dry air will
entrain. With this environment there is a slightly better chance
of a tornado threat especially being in the northeast quad. The
storm should lift north and northeast into central MS early
Thursday. The dry slot will quickly move in limiting the rainfall
with impacts quickly diminishing from south to north.

Fartdella does nothing but fear monger to get clicks. He is the worst local there is. He has had SELA in the crosshairs for every storm to form this entire season.
I agree. He’s been pretty bad all day today

Why is Jim Cantore on the Mandeville Lafefront?
Posted on 9/10/24 at 3:41 pm to gaetti15
I’ll never forget scanning a thread on that Stormcast site a few years ago, maybe for Ida, and stumbled across peej asking questions and wanting info because “people on another site were depending on him for updates”.

65 MPH and moving at 10 MPH...this storm may just be paying attention to the speed limit signs. A nice well behaved Francine.

Sounds like little change with the 4:00 update

I'm glad she's not seeing all the posts here about RI

Well if it wasn’t for Peej most of us would have died from the storm surge.
