The NHC really needs to work on their tracking systems. To be from Lake Chuck to Just west of NOLA in 48 hours is a huge jump. How did they not be able to pinpoint the center at this point with today's technology?
Then on the other hand, you have cocksuckers like this getting indignant with the people who try their best to keep people informed
It’s a mixed bag here

Yeah, I've got two TALL ones in my backyard
Evac plan 1 is about 1/2 mile away to buddies house in the subdivision while it passes only because he's got no pines near him

Yeah, I have four in my yard that were planted in 1983. Big frickers.
... Looks like EBR is now in the hurricane warning zone. Great.

We were in the hospital for the birth of my daughter during Zeta. When we did get home to no power, it was too cool in the house for the baby, so we had to go stay with some family on the Wank for a couple of days. First— and I’m sure last — time I’ll ever have to leave my house because it’s too cold after a hurricane.

That guy would lose his shite when a weather related topic would start in here. I think he just hated that some posters were getting extra attention or something

Well you are objectively wrong, as it was adjusted to a category 3.
I stand corrected, looked at the wrong part of the report from NHC. Just before landfall is was around 115 mph.

All this for a Cat 1 storm?

My house is surrounded as well.
We will go ride it out in Metairie with family and hope to come back to a tree-free house.
Have seen too many trees in the neighborhood fall on houses in named storms (even Tropical Storms) over the years to stick around.

It’s gonna tickle your butthole a little bit then leave without ever saying goodbye

1. Zeta was not a major hurricane.
Zeta was absolutely a major hurricane with 115 mph and 970 mbar
Cindy was a tropical storm
Cindy highest winds were 75 mph

I like to rag on the NHC because I'm very Letterman style anti-leadership and anti-establishment but 48 hours ago everyone here was saying don't focus on pinpointing a landfall before the center forms. Instead focus on a range of the coast.
Didn't mean to reply to you, Steven.. pretty tired
