Blow the Alex Box outfield bleachers away so that FEMA will pay for updated renovations.

So the state capital of Mississippi might have its infrastructure tested?
Enough of a disaster and they can move the capital . They would just be following what Alabama did.

Having a few gallons in your shed to power your mower and trimmer isn't what I consider emergency spare gasoline. Maybe you do though.
So in a bind, and need a few gallons to be able to get 75ish miles away, you won't use the gas in your shed because you need that to cut your grass this weekend?

Is this NHC official track shift still to the west of most of the recent model runs?

Didn't think it would be that bad on the I-20 corridor. But I know Jackson has horrific infrastructure management.

Or hire Favre to help consult how to get welfare funds to pay for the updates.

Yes, that’s why there’s a cone. The cone means the track could be anywhere within it.
It used to mean that. Now they can move it so you really have no idea.

Do the real weather people think the eastward shift trend will continue or is the BR bullseye pretty much a done deal?

i hope all the apparent coastal shear still stays strong tomorrow evening.
Me too. It means the hurricane itself is weaker, but; it may aid in the initialization of some localized tornado outbreaks, right?

I keep telling myself the track is just the center of the cone.
But it's not helping.

4am center of cone track progression
Landfall at Western end of Vermilion Bay to
Just east of Delcambre to
Just west of New Iberia to
Henderson to
Just west of New Roads
This is about a 12 to 15 mile shift eastward.
Previous track info below
10 pm center of cone track progression
landfall just east of Pecan Island to
just west of Abbeville to
between Maurice and Milton to
Lafayette to
Arnaudville
This is about a 10 to 12 mile shift east from the 4 pm center of cone track.
Reminder: The hurricane is not a single point, and the worst conditons can be anywhere within about 10 to about 30 miles from the center depending on size of eye. Francine is currently forecast to be a small-sized hurricane force wind field of out to 30 miles from center.

They then move the cone just before landfall and say “see! I knew it”
Big weather is always in it to cover up their tracks and the sheeple eat it all up.

They should just go ahead and move it, regardless of the storm. Jackson is a lost cause. The problem is picking where to move it to, lol. Outside of Memphis suburbs, the Gulf Coast, or college towns nothing is actively growing.
