Zeta was in and about 4 hours. The kids got to go play outside in the eye. Then it was like being in the mountains for the next three days and then it was Halloween. One of the more bizarre hurricane suituations I had experienced.

Zeta was the first hurricane ever where people wanted the power back on so they could put on the heat.

I don’t think so. Along the coast could get pretty bad, but around the interstates should be decent.

The HRRR tiptoes the highest totals just offshore south of Marsh Island and Morgan City. Good thing it does, because on the 12z run (the last long range run) it has 30"+ over the water. Similar totals on the 15z compared to the same time on the the 12z
