just got all my porch furniture brought in, hurricane shudders done and zip tied with 10 of the huge ones just to be safe and this mother fricker done shifted back away from LC.

I specifically put all of that extra work off until tomorrow just in case it doesn't need to be done

The more work you do now, the lower the chance it actually hits you.

It's science. I've tested the theory many times.

I am not home, so I can't pick up early. I'll have to pick it up as the storm is getting there, so it's definitely going square for my house.

Well I got a little nervous, I have to work tomorrow and if it’s starts raining, I didn’t want to be up on the metal part of my roof doing the shutters then and take a chance of my old arse falling

I do everything last minute anyway and have all day tomorrow if I need it.

Same here. We just went through it in July. All. Of my siblings and their families live in the LC area
They don't need anymore of these.

Can confirm. My wife is at a frickin yoga class and I've got the baby so I can't even pick up patio furniture and BAM 50 mile shift towards us

Isn’t modern tracking is still based off historical data some?

I mean it’s based off of algorithms that are trained on historical data, sure. It’s not like it cares what it did 6 hours ago though. They input the current information and let it run.

And with a TS forming this late in the game, it’s unpredictable as hell.

Now that we have a center it’s a lot more accurate. I realize the whole Intracoastal City to Morgan City shift seems like a big deal, but when you account for the angle of approach, it’s like 45 miles difference and 48 hours out. That’s really pretty normal for these things.

Understandable. I drove around and checked on my rent houses today so I was technically doing some prep work. I have one vacant one in the hood I need to go take window units out and close windows on. The people just moved out last week.

Seriously thinking about reporting direction in radians for the rest of the thread.
