NHC is king, just follow the cone

NHC uses these models to make the cone. So it’s always a good preview of what the next NHC come of uncertainty will look like.

You can see what will eventually become the eye on the Brownsville radar now. It is also producing more lighting in what may become part of the eyewall as it wraps it up.

Appreciate it Legend. But my question to Duke stands, as I would rather know not eventually, but when it certainly forms. And East or West of expected.

I’m aware, but they are very good at what they do. I wouldn’t expect the forecast track to shift more than 20-30 miles at this point

Generally speaking, a stronger storm will pull farther east. Weaker stays west. If model landfall trends west, generally the intensity is trending lower

You’ll start hearing Cat 2-3 pretty soon. Hope people aren’t taking it too lightly.

4 pm CDT.

We are on DAYLIGHT TIME people. If you don’t know the difference between daylight and standard time, just don’t specify.

Carry on.

Unless the way he worded his statement was wrong, he was referring to time over water to strengthen, not being more westerly bc it’s weaker.

no it isnt, any move to the west indicates weakening and also would e less time over water. look at the location

The NHC themselves would tell you be prepared to be off by as much as 80 miles 48 hours out.

The only way for the storm to gain strength and stay on a "western" trend is for RI to start now...but it still hasn't even fully organized a center.

Edit to add: "time over water" is irrelevant unless that RI starts now also.
