mean Beryl was a complete nothing burger to Houston by all projections until the last 24 hours before the storm hit and it just kept moving until about 6 hours before impact it settled on the worst path possible for Houston.

And 90% of the “worst possible” was due to Centerpoint’s ineptness.

Gas stations in Erath and Delcambre were two cars deep at most.

Walmart gas station in Abbeville has small lines. The Walmart parking lot itself doesn’t look any different than a normal afternoon day.

For those in the area super one in Abbeville seems to look like a regular parking lot as are the other gas stations on Highway 14 in Abbeville.

Either everyone has gotten their stuff or no one is worried.

Put some gas in it and started right up with the electric starter

Did you verify that it was putting out electricity. Sometimes when portable generators sit up for a while either the brushes are the magnets get stuck and they won’t produce electricity

Still majority of them are slighty east of the NHC officla track so i bet if there is a shift west won't be much. I will be interested in the 00z models tonight

You can see what will eventually become the eye on the Brownsville radar now. It is also producing more lighting in what may become part of the eyewall as it wraps it up.

It will be interesting to watch this evolve because some of the 12z hurricane models show the center still "jumping" around a bit and pressure fluctuating as this consolidates. In the 21 - 24hrs range, the HWRF, HMON, and HAFS-A all have about the same pressure as now. Only the HAFS-B lowers the pressure significantly.

As others have probably stated, organization and strengthening over the next 24hrs will play a big role later on.

Who said it’s coming in more West?

For a west move to get to land interaction quicker, it would have to shift all the way over to Beaumont and the likes. Anything LC and east landing is about the same time over water.
