Can tell just by that image shear and dry air are doing work on that circulation. Let this thing weaken into landfall plz.

It's crazy to me this still happens.

Another one I saw a lot of was people putting the exhaust next to the intake of the window unit.

Inlaws built a new house right before Ida with a brick exterior fence. Generac placed on the side of the house with what everyone thought was enough room to vent.

Problem is, the wind blew the dryer vent open and some trash that blew in kept it open. Mother in law was drying clothes the night of the storm and once the dryer turned off the exhaust i guess started coming in thru the vent.

Woke up about 11:30 to my MIL screaming into my face to get out of the house, then I heard the alarms going off. I was sleeping pretty hard

Did rds really track this since two weeks ago?

No. This thread was initially for the low pressure system that was hanging around just offshore, bringing rain all last week. It drifted south, pretty much dissipated, and this system moved toward it from the BOC.

ETA: I guess technically, yes, but they aren't the same systems.

Weaker and west but still east of Lake Charles would not be terrible for you. It would be better for more Louisianians.

I just don’t know how weak it will be. It’s already lower than the models have forecasted. Hopefully the NHC knows something we don’t know

There seems to be a consensus that more West means weaker. It makes sense, of course.

At least you know she kind of likes you. She could have sat there and said, my daughter can do better, now is the time. And just walked out of the house while you slept

The west movement could just be normal wobble but would be great if it does weaken it.

Well here is the slide right before that one.

Doesn't look very organized to me but I don't know as much as you do

it seems like people only see the outcome that affects them, no matter the likelihood. Go to /r/houston and you'd think the thing is deadset on Houston

it really is worth some useless PHD writing a study on it.

Houston weather people are strange like that. Some of them can make any storm a possible Houston problem.

Don't really wish it on anyone tbh. Hopefully trump can get someone to nuke it for us and watch it fizzle out in the gulf. One can dream right?

Lots of people who rent, transplants and high school students who don’t want to go to school.
