The food is over-matched by NYC and it's not even close but NOLA is easily the best place to eat well in the South.

Food may be great but if that's their argument about why they live there then they should get out more.

Nope. The Florida fan said Nola's food is good, but has nothing cities of comparable size can't offer. Which is a load.

I know what makes NOLA great and it's more than just food, but the crime is awful.

Got the finances under control, the bond rating was recently increased by the rating services.

Of course it is lol. No one claimed NOLA can stand toe to toe with NYC. Metro area of 1.5 million compared to 20 million

The NOLA apathy and Louisiana apathy in general has become more and more palpable with each passing year. 10 years ago people cared, now they're simply jaded, and rightly so.

Is it really shocking to you that people were more motivated after Katrina than they are now, 11 years later?

What, you don't think food is reason enough to live there??

Give me a top 10 list of cities with great food, and i will highlight the ones i have been to. And get to work on that NOLA list too

One problem can be fixed with a cook book.

Another dumb comment regarding food. Fried shrimp and poboys. Geeze man, you forgot the jambalaya and crawfish. You know the other things that silly folks think all of the NOLA food is about. LOL

Nobody thinks any city's food is the only reason to live there. I just can't let stupid comments by people who know nothing about the dining scene go by without a response.

Can we all stop hyperventilating.

Yes, crime is bad in N.O., but you can't get all hysterical at every initial report of a violent crime.

Some incident happened by the Moon Walk in which 4 people were knifed including the knife wielder. Could be some hobos or hippies fighting over the last sip of MD 20/20. No need to move out of the city over it until you learn more facts.

Same with the Will Smith murder. That is a developing story that is very strange. Could be a road rage incident or something else where the people involved knew each other. Either way, it's not the typical random predator attack that would make you question your choice of city residency.

You mean one of the top 10 largest metropolitan areas in the world has more food options than a metropolitan area just over 1 million? GTFO!

None of those places come close to NOLA in the food category. In history and architecture might be there but it isn't anything similar to NOLA
