it is local cuisine that makes this a great food city

I agree with this. The uniqueness of the local cuisine makes NOLA attractive. The crime does not.

Reading the OT is not what the NOLA Chamber of Commerce wants anyone considering visiting to do.

Not to minimalize the crime, but what does this have to do with this being a world class food city? I never said we didn't have a crime problem.

Not really. The poster that said cuisine was right.

NOLA is unique in that regard and is recognized as such.

There are great restaurants in NOLA and all those cities you listed.

There's not a unique cuisine in many of those though. NOLA win the cuisine talk hands down.

I've been to NOLA for different events and the food is good. There are great places to have a meal. Most of the places aren't great just like every other city.

As someone who has traveled and spent time in major cities and destination cities all over the US, as well as spending quite a bit of time to NOLA, without ever residing there or having ties to the area, i say there is no comparison when it comes to fine cuisine. Something tells me, you dont know enough about the area to compile an accurate list of the top 10 restaurants to visit, without scouring the internet for options.

If they would just take down those statues, Will Smith would still be alive and these four people wouldn't have holes in them today.

Something tells me you would not be able to compile top 10 lists in the cities you have visited that would be considered fine dining without scouring the internet.

So people are in here arguing NOLA is awesome because of good food?

Food may be great but if that's their argument about why they live there then they should get out more.
