Is this referring to trump?
Now you are way off base

Trump is now for reopening, and his phases have nothing to do with having a cure or vaccine

Pretty much exactly how I feel. The only risk we should be really trying to address until we find a cure is to make sure we have enough capacity at hospitals, and to do what we can to protect those at risk. But ultimately, it's time to go back out and reopen steadily. If you continue this much longer, it will severely prolong the economic recovery of this whole ordeal.

COVID-19 isn't cancer - that false analogy discounts his rant.

Some locations have not flattened the curve and are still experiencing a rise in cases. Some areas are at 80%+ ICU bed capacities.

The consistent message has been to flatten the curve and get enough testing. The question is the spatial context of flattening the curve and what truly is enough testing.

I went to the dentist yesterday and would have felt much more comfortable if I knew the dentist had been confirmed to test negative for COVID-19 in the past 24-48 hours. I'm sure he felt similarly for me.

Edited to add links:

80% ICU Capacity:

Prince George's County Maryland has more residents than the entire Baton Rouge Metro Area.

Not flattened the curve:

The Georgia cumulative new coronavirus curve does not appear to be flattened.

You spent a week trying to gotcha me because I changed my mind in supporting the reopening, but now that the guy who called for the shutdown in the first place changed his mind, you fall back in line.

But the people pushing to extend the shutdown have nothing to worry about economically.

Their feelings of safety are far more important than your ability to earn a living and provide for your family.

What about an HIV screen for your dentist?

Hepititis screen?

Flu?

Pneumonia?

Mumps?

Just wondering why those dont bother you

Wrong. It's shifted to finding a "cure." Few talk about flattening anymore. We are already being force fed the second and third wave scare tactic.

The frick are you talking about? You drunk?

This thread is about moving the goalpost from "flatten the curve" to "find a cure"

When has Trump done that like you alluded to? Trump is a pussy for ever shutting down, but he has never moved the goalpost to "find a cure"

maybe that’s been the message, but govs actions indicate that’s not what’s going on
