Aren't there dozens of versions of that crap anyway? I know there's a NATO version but not everyone uses it.

You don't know what Zulu time is?

Maybe you should have stayed out of the conversation.

Doesn't bother me. I used to throw random ones in there over the radio just to see who was paying attention- "bravo Listerine one-niner" or something like that.

This was during exercises and stuff, not while calling in a medevac or anything.

Terrible choice. It’s pronounced with a long e and a short e.

It doesn't bother me, but it's humorous to see people pause between their identifier.

"D...as in...uh...dog"
"B...as in...uh...boxer"

compared to someone who is obviously ex-military, it just rolls off the tongue.

"D as in delta"
"B as in bravo"

I think if you are going to use it as least learn it, there is a reason each word was chosen.

My favorite is a Charlie Foxtrot. As it is in the military, pipeline construction has it's fair share of them.

I do not. I am 48 and far from "woke" but can see how woke people would scour the earth for something to outrage them. "Zulu" could be it.

This is from an (obviously) non military guy. My Dad IS an Army vet from Vietnam Era and probably responsible for 80% of the ones I got right, but I refused to call him this morning for the purposes of this "quiz."

Mock away OT. That was an honest effort.
