It's too bad he wasted his talent by being the most corrupt politician in LA history. If he had been honest LA would be on a total different trajectory and probably the best state in the south. Instead, LA is a corrupt cesspool because of the likes of Fast Eddie.

So much for he’s not dying.

Candy was much better looking than the last tramp.
And I’d be willing to bet that ain’t his kid.

She was also younger than Edwards's daughter. Weird seeing news photos of the three of them outside of Russell Long Courthouse in Baton Rouge during his trial.

So Bobby Jindal is the only living former governor of Louisiana right now.
On his worst day, he was better than Edwards. He's have actually ended up being very good had no one suggested that he could be elected president.

A few years ago, his daughter drove us one night as an UBER driver. I’ll never forget it because she went on and on bragging about who her dad was. It pissed her off when I mentioned how corrupt he was and that he should still be behind bars.

One of the most fricked up things about this state. They couldn't look past an entertaining, friendly personality and see the corrupted politician underneath.
I think the thing he did was smile, be friendly, tell folks how great you looked today and the gave them the penny you needed today in exchange for the dollar they were getting tomorrow. And all they remember is that he was friendly and nice and gave them a penny when they needed it.
Same old game a lot of politicians play, he was just better at it than most.
But now he is dead, and I will not say great things about him nor will I be disrespectful, though I will be honest.
He does have loved ones and, almost certainly, not all of them are sleazy and they loved him anyway, children, grandchildren, even great grandchildren I'm sure. For them I will be cordial and offer sincere condolences.

I saw them eating at Pluckers on Bluebonnet maybe 5 years ago. Such an odd looking couple. She's younger than me.

did alright by me, I flew him on a couple of trips when I was trying to get into the Coonass, he told me that if I ran into any trouble let him know, not only would he see to it that I got in but he'd make me squadron commander

I ain't cryin' over it. Louisiana will still suffer from his legacy for many years to come.

I’d like to think he died with a hand up the hospice nurse’s skirt. Rip.

This board said hospice did not mean he was near death.
It doesn't always mean this these days. People spend crazy amounts of time in hospice.
Edwin Edwards himself said this was the case with his stay in hospice, so the board believed him.
Lesson of this story is one we should all know by now - that you should never believe Edwin Edwards.
