Well I have 118,000 miles on a 2014 and besides tires, breaks and spark plugs and a bad coil, I'd say it's been a pretty good truck.

I'm presently shopping for something new. Can't decide between GMC or another Ford. I think I may look at some Toyotas next week.

For the record, I have an 03 Chevy with 250k miles of being worked to death as a farm truck and the transmission just crapped out.

I know a guy with a ford diesel approaching 400k miles. Think he's on his 3rd transmission. Still a damn good truck.

The best truck on the road is the one that's paid for. The symbol in the middle of the grille doesn't mean much of anything these days. They're all damn good vehicles, and a good value in the lower trim models.

That's honestly not bad, but not impressive....and kind of reinforces my belief that Ford owners don't expect much from their vehicles in terms of durability.

I've gotten far, far more miles with fewer problems out of Chevrolet, Honda, GMC, and Toyota products. Ford is lower tier in my experience.

Completely honest, What no one is telling you is that gmc/Chevy/dodge/ford/Toyota are all damn good trucks these days and you really can't frick up too much choosing one over the other.

I won't argue with you on that...

The previously mentioned worked to death Chevy still has the factory brakes

There are certain things ford does better, like ride quality, amenities, interior layout, and just comfort and looks in general.

Chevrolet and dodge build a better work truck.

All have their merits. They're all good. Get the one you can afford that will do what you need.

Only white trash retards drive Chevy and GMC.

I was talking to someone the other day about how the super wealthy fly Gulfstreams, have yachts, unbelievable houses yet still are chauffeured around in Suburbans or Yukon Denalis. No matter how high or low your income the full size GM SUV's are the vehicle of choice.

It's my first Ford truck I've ever owned. I've had 4 GMC and 1 Dodge trucks. I've also owned a Jimmy, Cherokee and Honda Accord.

I like this Ford more than any of the vehicles I've driven over the past 25 years.
