Or if you ever put more than 500 pounds in the bed and would like your suspension to not bottom out.

If you're looking for employment at a parts counter, at a dealership, then yes. The Ford parts dept. stays busy.

Toyota if you can afford it. If not, F150.

Fords have more room in the crew cab.
I've owned several of each and like both.

There's always the hidden costs major component replacement with Fords, especially with the diesels.

You need to check your facts... F150's have recalls on the seat brackets breaking away during impacts; the power steering pumps suddenly failing because of faulty parts that they just replace with new faulty parts instead of correcting the design flaw; and they have fuel pumps that randomly throw some vehicles into "limp mode" on interstates and in the middle of high traffics situations.

Completely honest,

What no one is telling you is that gmc/Chevy/dodge/ford/Toyota are all damn good trucks these days and you really can't frick up too much choosing one over the other.

After my last Ford hit 80,000 miles it started to have constant breakdowns and I promised myself I'd never get a Ford again. Never owned a Chevy. I've had a Toyota since 06 and it's never needed a trip to the shop except for routine maintenance and a new alternater.

As much as people like the toyotas I have never been a fan. The interiors have always seemed a generation behind the others especially if you get a loaded truck with all the tech.

My F150 experience in a nutshell. I got up to 85,000 miles though. The back window leaked since the day I bought it and I think I went through 3 alternators during that time. Then the more serious (expensive) breakdowns starting happening.

Chevy trucks run badly longer than most cars run at all.

My 2011 f150 4x4 has given me so many goddamn problems but I still love it like a child. I bought it in 2014 and drive the shite out of it. It's basically my office. I've driven it a shite ton of miles every year and haul trailers and building materials. I've been pretty rough on it. I'll sit idling in it for an hour or two at a time doing paperwork and on phone calls. I probably need a diesel. Not buying a Chevy though
