I'm due for a family upgrade. 3 kids.

What say you? I've always wanted a Tahoe/Suburban but the engine issues they have scare me.

The Ford option looks nice but have never owned a Ford.

The GM 5.3L isn’t having any issues AFAIK.

Ford’s interiors don’t work for me personally.

The dashboard of the new expedition is heinous and is an affront to usability and simplicity

I had a brand new 2024 one as a rental a few years ago - it wasn’t bad but we are not Ford people - the notification noises are annoying, the shift was a knob, and the holder to charge your phone was weird

I like my Tahoe

tbh - with only 3 kids, you could live with a Malibu

You need a six seat vehicle, a Ford Explorer works.

Everyone will pitch a fricking fit, but I've owned Ford for 28 years out of the 30 I've owned a car, and my grandfather was a lifelong GMC employee.

Had repealed fuel injector problems with an Explorer Sport (all covered under warranty but inconvenient). That was 8 years ago. Same engine that was in my last two trucks before the diesel, and before my current Explorer ST, that I drive hard. I make 405HP work.

Fords don't drive like a couch. Chevy/GMC have lazy arse steering. I drive aggressively, and your style is almost certainly the opposite of how I drive. You want to look at the green light, wait three or four seconds, and then take your foot off the brake, Chevy is the brand for you.

I feel for folks that are on the road a lot. Wife is a stay at home mom, I work offshore. We told the sports lunatics to kiss our arse. We live 2 miles from the school. We’re in clunkers that are paid for. Life is good.

I’m gm man. Go suburban.

I fell for it too. You think you have a choice. You're going to do whatever your wife wants. She doesn't care about repair records, etc. She will like that the USB port is here instead of there.

Not sure how you get to be a grown man and not know the answer in your heart.
