I know a girl who's husband drove a tow truck on the side. He would do repo work for banks at night. Like 2AM night. That dude had some wild arse stories. And was never without his .45.
That's all I got.
That's all I got.

Seems obnoxious, but I make my payments on time

Prepping for a world where no one owns their house or their car. It's all rented/leased. Very little freedom of movement.

I guess Ford assumes their cars will be able to start and run for this feature to work.
Rolling the dice in my opinion.
Maybe they can teach the Ecoboost cars with the bad cam phasers to drive themselves to the dealership to get repaired.

This won't survive eligibility under 35 USC 101. Lots of caselaw around these issues the last decade. Unless the USPTO examiner is an idiot.

This will be a big deal for the asset owners, not necessarily Ford.

LOL at them when I slash my own tires.

They are getting ready to be able to just turn your car off if you post something conservative on social media.

Ford only took the Fed money when they were made to. They hocked everything a couple yrs before and were in a ok financial position at the time as far as car companies go.

There are already plenty of cars on the road that can be remotely disabled. For example, every Chevy that has OnStar.

Just think of all the extension of marketing possibilities:
Car drives itself to pick up 6-pack of beer, crush/drive over spouse’s lover, drive to Chevy dealership

Does the USPTO actually concern itself with wether or not there is prior case Le when approving patents?
Also, what are they actually patenting that isn’t already out there? Self driving feature already exists. Ability to remote access the car by 3rd party already exists. Would the fact that they can do both actually be a patentable feature?

That's basically everyone who has purchased a new vehicle in the last 2 years with less than 20% down. Or, in layman's terms, a frick load of people.

Quit financing anyone with a pulse to the tune of 100k and a lot more problems would be long forgotten about.

Hopefully they are nice and share this with Nissan and Dodge.

I would be seriously interested in a 2023 update of a 1960's analog truck. The only software might be the ignition control, fuel injection module. I miss hand crank windows.
