Wouldn't have made any difference. I was saving myself for marriage.

Dating today is totally different than early 2000's. Now it seems to be done all on social media, hitting on a girl in a bar is almost taboo. They think you want to rape them, most want to check out your social media sites first, etc... I would hate to have to go back into dating

The chase was the fun part. Got to meet lots of people. Sitting at home and using those apps is like calling Dominos for pizza delivery. There's no fun involved other than the sex. 1991-1995 chasing sloots on campus and at the bars was a blast. Made many lifelong friends. Can't do that with a smartphone.

It wasn't available via smartphone but there were still online ways to get pussy. Hot or Not started it all.

Where I live right now, and the ages I search everyone wants a freaking boyfriend, in the past week I cannot tell you the times I've read: "you just want to hook up, I want something more" I'm like WTF

It is terrible. Especially if you live in a place like Houma and want a woman with a career and no kids. I'm looking for a damn unicorn

Another reason I can't respect this generation. If the entire " obsessing and stalking " aspect is removed, can it really be called dating? We old- timers could follow the scent from the quad to sorority row and back to Tigerland, hide in bushes in multiple locations, pepper her friends with nonchalant questions, get her childhood home address, conduct detailed background work with her neighbors, and then just " accidentally " bump into her in the quad without any sign of prep work. You guys are spoiled.

You young whippersnappers seem to think you invented sex. Why, back in my day we walked a girl home from school in a foot of snow. And we liked it that way.

We just went to bars and picked up chicks. Honestly we probably had more sex than you screen junkies.

Yeah...how dare a person want to actually get dates and get to know someone from a dating app. Not every single person uses it like Adult Friend Finder.

Well it depends on the app. Match and such? I expect most women there to be looking for something more than a bang and go.

Tinder or PoF? High mileage sloots everywhere.

Problem here is that you are paying attention to what she's saying and not what she's doing.

You see "I want a relationship."

I see "I keep fricking guys that don't want to commit. It's happened so many times that I have to specifically say it keeps happening to me. And yet, here I am, still on Tinder because I'm desperate for physical and emotional validation."

Just say frick it and if she hasn't blown you by the second date, tell her you don't think it'll work out.
