Social media and texting/mobile phones are an incredible luxury these days. It would have been like shooting fish in a barrel with that tech back in my day.

If you've already met the girl it's one thing, but i'm not as big a fan of having to force banter with someone you know nothing at all about except a few pictures and a tagline in her bio.

how's that any different than starting a conversation with a girl at a bar or social event? you'd know nothing about her.

you know i don't know, just feels less forced to me for some reason. Maybe bc in real life there's no only using flattering pics and there's also body language, other visual cues.

How much more sex would you have gotten had you had these apps? Would have been a game changer

People are having less sex than they used to.

Doing my masters in New Orleans circa 2011

Tinder was new. But not brand new.

It was for iPhones only.

The only girls who were on it were prime Tulane sorority girls.

Now it is just garbage.

THAT was the true golden age.

I was no cocksman but did my share. My problem with tinder would have been what it was with bars. Zero standards. I can't imagine a drunken tinder night. Everybody would get swiped.

Also, children. I only have the one. I'd probably have 3 if tinder were around.

Would have increased quality for sure.

Back then, Tinder for me was who was left at closing time at Murphy's.

This. Now don't get me wrong, even the above took a bit of work to see if the girl just wanted to screw like bunnies or wanted to "date" first.

Tinder removes even that.

The apps are fun, but overrated IMO. As a picky female, using the dating apps in south La is a tad rough. Lot of men (I am sure many women too) let themselves go...fat by 28, patchy beards, holding a damn fish in every pic. No one wants to bang that

The more work you learned to put in the better off you are down the road. That's why us older guys see the warning signs well before these young guys do

I dont know if it would have gotten me laid more often, but it would have definitely increased the chances considering you could have done some recon on some targets before heading to the bar.

With these apps, how difficult is it to find an attractive girl who hasn't had a hundred yards of dick run through her?

Very easy if you are looking for divorced mothers 30-50 yrs old who have their kids during the week and every other weekend.
And they don't go to bars looking for dick nor do they respond to pickup lines at the grocery store.
It's easy to find a good woman with a number under 15 that way.

However, me? I don't give a frick about her number of dudes as long as it's lower than my number of dudes.
