Problem here is that you are paying attention to what she's saying and not what she's doing.

You see "I want a relationship."

I see "I keep fricking guys that don't want to commit. It's happened so many times that I have to specifically say it keeps happening to me. And yet, here I am, still on Tinder because I'm desperate for physical and emotional validation."

Just say frick it and if she hasn't blown you by the second date, tell her you don't think it'll work out.

Glad someone else on here gets it

Not as pissed about missing this on college as I am about missing all the hot teachers banging students in HS.

And on Bumble, women have to contact the men first.

This is what makes Bumble great. Girls have to talk first. Which makes them feel safer and empowered. Which in turn makes them easier.

I still like the organic route. Didn't fail me in college.

If that shite was around when I was in college, my word my dick would have fallen off.

But I was a sophomore when FB came out and the poke function was basically telling someone you want to frick them.

I like previously mentioned was a bartender...that usually did the trick. On top of that, my roommate was the head of her sorority.

I honestly look at the younger generation and feel it's probably harder. I'm 33 and It seems most of the young people I see out in social settings have their heads down and are stuck on their phones. Pretty girls seek validation through "likes" and will spend 20 minutes trying to take that perfect selfie. I can only imagine how frustrating it would be to try and make eye contact with someone these days. On top of it all the girls can typically hop on their phones and find someone they find more attractive within minutes so you can't be that "last resort". Like I said, I bartended and you could see the "how'd he do that?" Situation where we know it was late and her friends were bringing home people too so he won by default scenarios. Now those poor fellas get left and they hop on an app and have one waiting like a damn pizza.

I was better looking in college but had a worse personality and no money so it probably wouldn't have helped me much.

I wouldn't know. I never experienced Tinder or other apps. I was a loyal one woman (per zip code) guy.

People who weren't in college at the time won't realize how special the first couple years of Facebook were. Forget the no brainer stuff of no parents, no kids, no memes or political bullshite.

SOP: Look up every girl on your class list, add them on facebook. They would accept you 100% of the time as a complete stranger. There was no concept of internet anonymity or privacy. Since everyone was down to frick at any time, all it took was a poke and a "sup". If there weren't any hot girls in your classes, it didn't matter, because you could browse their friend list like a fricking delivery menu, with basically a 0% chance of them denying a friend request. "Don't I know you?", they see your mutual friends (as tenuous as that link may be), and they're immediately down to clown.

It was easy to get laid, doubt my numbers would have changed. Apps make it easier for the socially awkward though.

In the days before social media, you had nights you'd go home without getting laid, now you don't even have to leave home to get laid.

I was quite happy to be in college at a time when women couldn't find you after. Give a fake number if they pressed, they couldn't call your cell to check on the spot. No social media talking about you, no photos passed around.

I bartended through college. There was no shortage of snapper for me.

This was in the mid 1980's.
