No. There are times when I miss the South, but under no circumstances would I ever move back.

Was just looking at a job in Nebraska but I’m too old for a career change and to relocate.

Maybe in 15 years when I retire I’ll look into moving to Montana area between Billings and Livingston is amazing.

Funny you bring this up because me and the wife were talking about it last night. I'm originally from Louisiana and took a government job that brought me all over the country. I currently live in Washington State. We love Louisiana and the memories and the culture and the food but I can't imagine leaving.

As bland as the food is and as much as I disagree with the political climate, I am not giving up mountains and 75 degree summers with no humidity and beautiful lakes and amazing golf, great schools and affordable housing.

Louisiana will always be special to me, however. It will always be home, I'm just not moving back.

Seattle proper here. I’d move back. Then just as easily move back here. Love living everywhere.

I do miss it but.... No. Love it up here in Montana. It's been 4 years since I moved up. I'll stay put.

The Northwest is the one area of the country I haven’t had the chance to explore. Really need to plan a trip out that way.

I don’t really understand how that deserves a downvote, but such is the OT.

Seattle misses on music? I beg to differ. There’s a solid music scene there, and some great history as well.

The seafood in the PNW is top notch too.

Don’t bother arguing about the food. It’s really hard for people in the south to understand that there are places outside the south with good food.

doubt they would, scared shitless of the Colored people, and them moving into their neighborhoods.

Such an unfounded fear, considering how much nicer neighborhoods get when they become predominantly black. Many of us grew up in trashy crappy neighborhoods that didn’t become nice until white flight got rid of the white people.

If I had the means, I’d love to live somewhere around Idaho or Montana. Not really Alaska though.

Either a big empty state with open land and some mountains or the beach.

But I’ll probably never leave houston.

Yeah. I expanded to say Seattle would be where I would live in the NW. But ID, MT, and WY are places I like, but just like to visit.

ETA:

Dem Washington St oysters are fantastic. I could eat my body weight of those raw delicious balls of protein.

Never say never but I don't see myself moving back. When I think of the south I think of heat and humidity.

Nope

I went back down for a bit in 2005 and was miserable. Couldn't wait to get back to AK.

Yep, they think you can't have good food or pretty women anywhere but Dixie.

I know...people in the South will argue food to the death.

The fact is, it’s different seafood.

There are 21 million people around Lagos, Nigeria. I guess it's pretty awesome, eh?
