ITT:

texag thinks bc he's had great bbq around his house that the south has the best food in America.

OP that works for park services and lets people know about it constantly displays wealth by traveling to South Asia where a few hundred American dollars will get you royal treatment

Did I miss anything?

weird segerated white people vibe.

lotsa asians(vietnamese and chinese), polys and mexicans up here in portland.

there is sometimes a feel of overwhelming hipster/trash bubble in portland proper and to the east and south portland.

all the areas to the west and southwest of the portland metro are nice places to live and raise a family.

bend and corvallis are my two favorite towns outside of the metro.

You missed the part where I’m a super nice guy. Maybe not traditionally handsome though.

Mexican food is now considered southern cuisine.

Just stayed in Beaverton last weekend. Enjoyed the area.

You've focused in on specific cities (which are not regions).

If you take the cities out of the equation in the South, you’re left with fast food, same for in the north, but really good food happens in cities because that’s where the talent goes to make a living creating and cooking outstanding food.

I still don’t understand where you’re going with this, but it reeks of both southern and northern food stereotypes I heard growing up, but first hand experience over time has proved just aren’t true, and rooted most likely in this big brother little brother thing that the south has for the north.

I was referring to the North/Northeast region using two examples that are somewhat far apart.

What specific dishes are well known across that entire region

One of my good friends got a job with the huskies and said the women in Seattle are nowhere on par with what he's used to seeing across the South.

It takes little effort to recall the guy who is constantly starting threads about where he lives.

It also takes more effort to sound asshurt by pointing out what seems to be an obvious situation, no?

According to you...

Seattle is a shithole because your buddy can't find a date? Ok.

No. He just said the women there are not as attractive. He's former NFL i don't think he has a problem finding a date

Still not understanding how that makes Seattle a shithole?

That entire region? The entire northeast and north? If you want to talk regions, please understand what constitutes a region.

But for the northeast, off the top of my head, it’s known for:

Lobster
Bloody Mary’s (a drink, but still)
Clam Chowder
Boston Cream Pie
Cheesesteaks

Not a long list, but again just things that came to mind.

Now that I’ve played your little game, let me point out that having a place with “well known dishes” has nothing to do with being a place with the best food. This may shock you, but there are amazing foods from around the world. Some places have options for all that, others don’t.

He just doesn't like it. Women are not as attractive, people are ruder, lots of hobos.

Former Bama player fwiw. Lived with me in CS for a bit when he worked for Sumlin

Do you judge many cities based on your buddies taste in women or just Seattle?
