They must have watched Red Dawn with all those strikes in Montana, North Dakota, and Wyoming. They didn’t want to mess with the Wolverines.

I like how North Platte, NE is target - there's literally nothing there but cows, corn, and a WalMart Distribution Center.

Every city I've lived in is a target (NOLA, BR, Atlanta). Even my bugout 40 acres is close enough to Camp Shelby to get some fallout.

It looks like where I live now, near Lake Borgne, may be far enough away to survive anything except a decent hurricane.

Anniston Army depot built tanks when I was a youngster. It was about 15 miles from my house so I can only imagine it was a nice big target. Fort Mcclellan was operating at the time as well. And they had a shite load of chemical weapons there.

Yep.

BR was always a first-strike objective.

It’s so weird how people want to believe their town is big time so they act like it’s target #1 for an attack.

After the Cold War ended we saw it right after 9/11 when everyone acted like their town was next on Al Qaeda’s list.

Ground Zero for black dot, thank God. I surely wouldn’t want to live in the aftermath of that.

Grew up in KC,MO. I remember them filming the “Day After” all over town. KC is a communication hub & we were a 1st strike target. Plus, Whiteman AFB, where the B2’s are now stationed is 50 miles outside of KC. So we’re still fricked.

I know that North Korea is very much in range of 1 single submarine capable of wiping it off the face of the earth before anything they have made it halfway to America.

That's the thing. Did you know the US was ready to launch over 100 nukes EACH at the top 5 Soviet Targets? The arms race was stupid.

I woulda been blown away here in Corpus Christi. Major port, petroleum hub, and one of the largest military training centers in the country at the Naval Air Station.
