Thoughts?

Yahoo

quote:

A pregnant Texas woman who claimed she was entitled to drive in a high occupancy vehicle lane because of her unborn child received another ticket for the same offense, authorities said Tuesday.

quote:

She insisted that with the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade on June 24, her unborn child now was recognized as a living person.

quote:

Her argument was apparently good enough to win a dismissal. It wasn't immediately clear if that second ticket, picked up Aug. 3, would also be kicked out.

quote:

“You again?” Bottone quoted the deputy as saying.

“So, when are you going to have this baby?” the deputy allegedly asked.

“Tomorrow,” Bottone said she answered.

“Oh, good luck,” she quoted the deputy as saying before issuing her the ticket.

Problem solved.

I'm only for pregnancies in extreme cases. All others should be aborted. Babies are assholes. They cry all the time and you have to wipe their asses. No thanks.

Edit: I forgot, They don't pay rent either.

My thoughts are we have alot more important problems in this country and nobody is working on them. I don't care where she drives or if she is pregnant or not.

Valid argument

Cuts both ways, too.

HOV lanes for more than one person, yes.

Has to pay for 2 tickets airplane, sporting or other event, yes.

You are welcome for this logical news.

I wonder what her response would be if she want to a show/concert or some place that required a price for admission, and they asked her to pay for her kid's admission.

Though, props to her for finding the loophole, but man, cops have bigger things to worry about, just drive in the lane you belong in.

I always felt that the state had a legitimate public interest in protecting it whether you called it an unborn child ("life") or not.
