For Christmas.....You Put Up Artificial Or Real Tree?

Growing up the family would alternate each year between both. I'm like a lot of people though, there's nothing like the real thing. That smell of the pine as the needles fall while putting it up. Of course each have their advantages. What do you put up?

We used to go cut down a tree every year as a family. And by we it was basically our dad while our mom kept my brother and I from causing trouble at the tree farm. One year dad magically contracted a mold allergy from a mold that only grows on christmas trees and now we have a fake one.

for a lot of years, we got real trees. now, i just get a prelit fake tree and call it a day. i don't have teh energy to wrestle with the real tree or clean up the mess it makes.

Fake tree with fake pine cones and the lights already on it ready to plug in... Bought a new house this summer, so actually going shopping for a new one tomorrow that looks better with a 12' ceiling.

I'm a proponent for a real tree, but a few years ago we had my wife's family over. My BIL is has allergy issues with them, so we got an artificial tree. Now that we own that, I'll be damned if I waste any more time or money on a real one.

real trees "used to be" better but now most look like shite and cost like they are gold.
a nice fake tree is the best option overall hands down.
im a little old fashioned so i prefer blank trees you decorate instead of the built in led light tipped branches ones

Both, we get a real tree for the Great Room and have several fake ones up in various places around the house. Wife is very serious about her decorating for the holidays.
