Footage of justified fatal New Orleans shooting involving NOPD released
Fixed your title for you.
I'm quite sure prior to this footage being released his family claimed this was a cold blooded murder.

Simple mistake. He pulled out a gun instead of the intended opera tickets.

He thought, with zero cover, that he could outgun 4 trained cops. I'm going to go ahead and say that this is a Darwin contestant. Now he probably has kids, but at least Darwin is starting his thing on the family. So

The thing is. It doesn’t matter if he fired first. He pointed his weapon and at that point threatened the lives of those officers. He had a death wish at that point and got it.

No issue with this at all.
If you come out with a weapon drawn when officers show up, the shake on you. You get what you get.

The guy was disturbed.

So these cops were forced to shoot a (likely) schizophrenic.

Early 1980’s I asked in a pre-interview how often did an avg officer pull out his or her weapon to use in his or her career. The officer told me depending on assignment maybe 20 times low side and 40 times higher side in his or her career. Today that answer would be 40 times a quarter or less depending on dept and area.
What facts do you have to back an absurd statement like this up? The news reports? What you read on the internet? Crime is down compared to the 80’s by a significant margin and is historically at some of the lowest it has ever been but keep believing every person out there is bad and trying to rob you.

You know that BLM and SJW’s are gonna claim racism

Over 20 yrs as an officer in one of the largest cities in the country. The guys that retired before me never pulled their weapons out like my generation of officers did except narcotics. The guys that retired when I first came in were hired in late 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.
They had a few memorable experiences just nothing like today in the 80’s and 90’s. Gang units really didn’t grow in manpower until 80’s when which did increase as crime in lower income areas increased from their activities.
I guess your experience of searching the internet and spewing numbers off is a lot more realistic than someone who lived it daily over 20 yrs in a large city.

I’m sure those that requested body cams to “catch” the police are disappoint.
