So does the Ford F150 owner get a new truck from the NOPD for the 18 bullets that went through it?

No bruh, this is part of the reason our insurance rates are so high.

Seems sort of like suicide by cop.

I'm not sure how he expected that to end differently.
he didn't

Man, that first officer was lucky the guy didn't shoot earlier. Dude had a wide open shot at the officer once he got out his vehicle, but he waited til after he got behind the truck.

So, did this guy have a criminal record, or was he just walking around with a gun daring police officers to shoot him?

Early 1980’s I asked in a pre-interview how often did an avg officer pull out his or her weapon to use in his or her career.
The officer told me depending on assignment maybe 20 times low side and 40 times higher side in his or her career.

Today that answer would be 40 times a quarter or less depending on dept and area.
This is truly a sad state for the moral value of people. Seems to be a mental issue not a weapon issue.

Yeh, this is bullshite. The 80's were the most violent times in america. Far safer to be a cop now

Does it matter? His last day here, he pointed a firearm at LEO. Its the same ole same ole,
no comply - you die. I bet he won't be pointing any more guns at people.
