It’s going to suck for a while man.

Pick up some hobbies, work on yourself and try to stay busy. Don’t shy away from how you’re feeling and let your emotions come out if needed. Don’t compress them.

My ex & I broke up 2.5 years ago and I still carry that weight around. Still pops up in my dreams sometimes. shite sucks.

Seriously OP you need to realize there is probably a lot more to this story and a lot different than you are realizing right now. She likely isn’t being truthful and neither are you to yourself.

I’m embarrassed that this is my life. I wasn’t raised in a family that had madness like this. My parents have been married for decades. My siblings are on their first marriage with multiple kids. Then there’s me in this mess.

ETA had you ever noticed them flirting/taking a lot of interest in each other in front of you or was this a total shock? Where’d you meet this couple and how long had y’all been spending time together as a group?

At the time, no. In hindsight, maybe they had some common interests. No flirting.

We all have the same job, but they worked alongside each other at the same school. When Covid hit, we all hung out a lot.
