I am seeing way to many people letting old glory get pummeled by the heavy storms. Whatever happened to respect for The flag? They care more about being seen as patriot than they actually do about the flag itself.

People are clueless.

You don’t fly in the rain or at night without a light on it.

Actually...

If it is an all weather flag it can be flown in inclement weather.

It needs to have a light on at all times.

It need to be retired when it becomes tattered.

There's a provision in the Flag code for an all weather flag.......

You're welcome.

Is it really that big of a deal? My flag flies 24/7.

So long as there’s a light shining upon it, then no big deal.

I will say it’s a bad look for businesses when they have faded/tattered flags on flagpoles. All-weather does not mean never-replace, and it blows my mind how many jacked up flags I see on poles outside of businesses.

Agreed...honestly, we all go in and out of the office every day and pretty soon it gets to where you just don't notice that kind of thing. In fact, I probably need to walk outside and have a look at our flag right now!

There is a storm flag used by the smaller army post. It flies during day light.

Flags made of synthetic, weather resistant material can fly during the rain.

Think the 6 original frigates put Old Glory away when they were crossing the 7 seas when a little rain storm came by? Let her fly high and proud
