I am seeing way to many people letting old glory get pummeled by the heavy storms. Whatever happened to respect for The flag? They care more about being seen as patriot than they actually do about the flag itself.

The old rule was if it was raining at the time the flag was to be run up the pole, it was not displayed, if the flag was already in the air and it started then raining it was to be left in the air until the normal time to be taken down. But now that we cant have boy scouts at public schools doing flag duty, creating overt displays of patriotism, and people at government offices and other businesses are too lazy to properly display the flag, the so the "all weather " flag was created resulting in our flag getting about the same respect as a Motel Six sign. What the flag stands for should dictate how it is handled and displayed, not the material it is made of.

man what a weird thing to bitch and cry about. What next? People didn’t buy their flag at the “I’m a real patriot store” for 300 dollars. No one has any respect for the country anymore.

Most people can’t even vertically hang the flag correctly, and you expect average Joes to take it down in the rain or even at night when not properly illuminated?
