maybe, just maybe, if they would be more generous with their payouts for claims for their enrollees, vs. doing shite like this, maybe, just maybe everyone would be better off for it.... just a thought...
So they dont do that in other states? Why does La standout so much?
Annual auto insurance rates
La $2,734
Ms $1,505
Tx $1,716
Al $1,354
Similar companies, similar demographics, similar weather.

i don't know about all that... but i'm speaking in the matter of ALL insurance companies, and across the entire spectrum of insurance policies/plans... home, auto, medical, personal life, etc....
one thing i do know is private insurance higher ups make a frick ton of money, yet the people that pay to be insured are more commonly than not, not made whole on their claims, or are outright denied coverage when they need it the most... it's fricked up... it's a big issue going on right now in Congress, about insurers raking in record profits, yet having the insured get bent over time after time after time...

Someone with a jet access like that chooses to live in Hammond?
Mandeville and Slidell are full, Covington is filling up. People fleeing New Orleans are making their way west along 12 to Hammond.

Surprise!!!:
Wendell Jay Luneau is an American politician from Pineville, Louisiana. A Democrat, Luneau has represented District 29 in the Louisiana State Senate since 2016.
Before entering elected office, Luneau opened the Luneau Law Office in Alexandria. Still in operation, the law office represents small businesses and individuals in workers compensation, personal injury, and damage claims cases

But again, why are MS, Al and TX seeing average auto rates more than $1,200 less than us? If all insurance companies do this and all make huge profits and they are all insuring various states, why do we stand out so much?

So, I am still not outraged. 300 dollars an hour premium in fuel costs to fly instead of using 20 dollars of gas and not have to sit in traffic. All this cost, probably gets put on the P&L and absorbed by other business costs just means they will pay less in taxes. The State Senator is a class warfare idiot.
Fuel is just one of the many costs associated with jet ownership. A PC24 is probably north of $3000/hr in operational costs.

"I don't think anyone would argue that successful businesses have plane trips."
What an obtuse piece of shite. No dumb phuck, successful businesses do not take 40 mile plane trips daily. No dumb phuck, successful businesses do not charge that back to the public. Lynch, lynch them all. Starting with the redneck retard who responded with that.

Isn't the road travel section between either MSY or Lakefront airport and downtown New Orleans the worst of the traffic and other negatives?
If any flying at all is justified as a write off, wouldn't flying via helicopter to the helipad downtown near the Superdome be the most efficient?

It’s a private company spending their money how they wants. Not really controversial.
Did you not read this part?

To make matters worse, the company passes this expense onto Louisiana policyholders through their rates.
We already pay too much for insurance in Louisiana, this doesn’t help.

One thing you can be 1000% sure of is that a parasite like Jay Laneau doesn’t give a rats arse about how much you pay for insurance.
Private company passes their costs on to their customers. That, plus sports and weather coming up.

You are paying most of those costs whether the plane is flying or on the ground.

Sounds like he is using the jet to commute back and forth to work. So why can't I write off my fuel, insurance and car expenses when I commute back and forth to work?

All the people bitching in this thread aren’t buying any insurance this company provides. They aren’t State Farm.

People should mind their own business !!!!

Worst thing political climate in any of the southern states by a wide margin.
Who in their right mind would voluntarily live there without deep family ties? Like as in just relocate there knowing nobody.

that's great... but that's YOUR experience, and to only go with YOUR experience is myopic, at best... on the larger scale, there are many people that didn't get made whole after storms/accidents, or don't get their medical procedures or medications covered... it's not just auto, i'm speaking about the all insurance platforms, not just auto, or not just home, etc...

i have no idea... ask someone in that industry that question...by and large, insurers don't truly care about the people they insure... they care about the shareholders that invest in their companies, and driving profits to make them happy

You can if you own the business or use your own expenses for the company while you're doing business for the company
