It really all depends on if you pinch the tails or peel the tails. Suck the heads or not. It takes me about 20 seconds per crawfish and that pinching tails and sucking heads.
It would take a non Cajun 3 minutes to eat a crawfish like I do. They would get tired and frustrated before they get full.

I feed a variety of non Cajuns at my boils. 1-2 pounds max per person, especially with fixins. Most won't cover a pound and then you will have a few outliers that will try their best and get a few pounds. If they have eaten them before and like them, that's where it gets tricky to predict because some will lie about how much they eat and some will be absolute champs. I always order a bit more and use the extras for things like crawfish bisque.

From my experience in Tennessee doing some, I would honestly say 1 lb a person is average. They get tired of peeling them since they aren't good at it

Not trying to come off as a dick but what’s the cost for getting a sack of live crawfish to Colorado for just 6 people? I could understand if it’s for a large boil but one pot doesn’t seem worth the hassle

We've had a fee boils since moving to MO a few years ago. Most people put 6 or 7 on their plates; they all like to try it but the palate here is pretty bland. We wind up with way too much, but that's a good thing.

I've flown them up here multiple times and most Colorado folks barely can handle a pound or two.

I had some great boils in CO. Never ordered less than 50 lbs and there was only a few times we had leftovers. 2-5 lbs per person is a good average. There's plenty of coonass transplants up there.

Check out Gulf Coast Seafood in Arvada,Co. They fly crawfish in weekly live at $5 a pound.
