That may be, but why take chances?
The older you get, the better off you are with as many of your own teeth as you can. Never understood the "anti fluoride" crowd unless it it was started by dentists for more business.

If you want extra white teeth, next time you're under a plane with contrails, look up and smile.

69 Reasons To Oppose Adding Fluoride To Water LINK
quote:
Fluoride is poison, just look at a tube of fluoride toothpaste.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires all fluoride toothpaste sold in the USA to be labeled with a poison warning, instructing those that swallow more than is used for brushing to contact the Poison Control Center.

Fluoride is a toxic industrial by-product.
The most common type of fluoride used for water fluoridation is fluorosilicic acid and is well known as a chemical “byproduct” of the aluminum, steel, cement, and phosphate industries.
Don’t believe me? I don’t blame you.
So here’s a photo of the other two types of fluoride added to our water, sodium fluorosilicate (left) and sodium fluoride (right):

Fluoride is toxic.
There is a reason a lot of communities choose to not add fluoride to their drinking water.
Brush with it, don't drink it.
Toothpaste literally comes with a Poison Control Warning if swallowed.

Water is toxic if you have too much or don't use it properly.
I agree. Kids should not eat a bunch of toothpaste. Or prunes

If you swallow more than what is used to brush your teeth then it's toxic.
You have to drink 1 Liter of water per hour for it to be toxic.
See the difference?

Baton Rouge doesn’t fluoridate its water fwiw
I want to say it’s because of coach Sid being based but in actuality it’s probably due to incompetence or graft

Correct, but it actually has naturally occurring fluoride that is slightly higher than the optimum level for enamel support in drinking water.
