Let's hear your two cents on getting flu shots.

Just curious which category people put themselves in.

A. Always got the flu shot, will continue
B. Always got the flu shot, but no longer
C. Never got the flu shot, never will
D. Never got the flu shot, but will start getting it

I am firmly in "B" , for now. Used to get it annually for years until the Covid vaccine debacle. Perhaps, if the shot can be proven to actually work and have no other "additives" that would alter me. I might consider getting it again, since the flu is not fun.

I get it sometimes, sometimes not. If I'm in the drugstore and they're offering them that day, I'll probably get one. I'm not opposed to it, I'm just a slacker.

I’ve never had it. Nothing against it. I just have vasovagal and pass out from shots. That’s no fun for me so I avoid all non-required shots like the plague. Plus, I’ve never had the flu so seems like I’m doing alright without it.

I’ve gotten the flu shot twice and each of those times I actually got the flu that season. I’m not anti vax, but it seems to mess with my immune system. Maybe when I’m old and decrepit I’ll have to, but I do better without it as of now.

Talk to your doctor about which flu strain is out there and which flu strain the shot protects against.....then you'll have your answer.

No real opinions on the flu shot, except I don’t go out of my way to get it. I get it when they are offered in the office and I didn’t delete that email to sign up. Otherwise, I just skip it for the year.

I could take it or leave it. Haven’t seen any correlation between the years I get it and whether I get the flu.

Never gotten one, never gotten the flu.

Wife gets one and the kids get one, I’m not against it, it’s just not for me

I would suggest older people should get it.

This. If you have elderly parents, it’s a good idea they get it. Flu can be really rough on older people.

I always get it and sometimes I get the flu.

I don’t have strong feelings about it, myself, or anyone else. It’s just been the case.

I get fatigued the night of and have a sore arm for 2 days. I’ve seen other people have some pretty severe reactions when getting it same place and same day as me.

I believe it’s “you do you”

A.

I hate being sick. The last time I had the flu I was sick sick for like a week. I take shots with little to no side effects so I get mine.

"A"

I had a bad case of the flu several years ago before starting to get the annual flu shots.

Yeah, I only get sick when I get the shot, so quit taking them. Last one is about 6 years ago. Just take my Vit D3, about 10,000 IU a day starting in Oct through March and haven’t had any worries

Took the flu shot once and caught the flu that same season. It was the sickest I'd ever been. Won't take it ever again.

Inb4 - they can't nail down exactly what strain of flu will be prevalent that season, blah blah blah.

LOL. The Covid debacle has zero to do with the Flu shot. No telling how many lives are saved by the harmless flu shot. People don't realize how many people die of the flu every year.
