Legally, this is one of the first things required when the FDA was formed, fumigation of flour and white rice. Even wheat with the husk still on will get weevils if not fumigated.

All shiploads of exports to China have to be fumigated once the loading of the ship has been completed. Peru is even tougher, they require the ship to use methly bromide which means all of the crew has to be housed onshore for 3 days.

Bunny Bread is owned by Flowers Foods just like over a dozen other bread brands.

Roundup is a name brand. Other companies also make glyphosate because it is effective and farmers like it.

The stuff you buy at the store is watered down like a mofo. I sold off the equipment from a Roundup packaging plant in Houston a decade ago. The company which operated it on a tolling basis for Monsanto opened new operations in Central America because of the US Ambulance Chasers

This is why I buy organic and items that are labeled glyphosate free.

Even if they use glyphosate free herbicides, its still in the water they use to irrigate and drift from non organic farms.

A reason I only buy bread from Aldi

What's that got to do with anything? Publix and H-E-B bake bread in house that barely lasts a week.

H2O can kill you in the right dose, but any excuse to get the organic crowd riled up I guess.

They literally spray wheat within 24 hours of harvest. They figured out spraying just before harvest saves them 3 cents per loaf of finished bread. So, eat herbicides and shut the frick up about it.

No they aren’t. The rule for prop 65 is that if it’s 1 in 100,000 chance that something could cause cancer over 70 years then they have to have the warning.

It’s cheaper for a company to just stick a prop 65 label on something than it is to actually test it which makes the whole system worthless.

Roundup has not contained glyphosate for some time. Only Roundup Pro which is owned by a different company. Roundup is triclopyr and some other shite.

Bud, Glyphosate at labeled rates takes 10-14 days to desiccate a plant. 24 hours would be pointless, a waste of time and violate the labeled pre harvest interval. Get your facts right please.

I don't have a Publix or HEB, Hoss. I was simply saying, basically, there are alternatives to Nature's Own, Sara Lee, etc etc. Sorry I ruined your Saturday.

It's also used as a desiccant on grains to help dry out and force all the plants (in a single field) into being harvest ready at the same time. It's a very widely used practice and extremely economically profitable

Yes, it's used as a 'ripener' to get the plants ready to harvest. I don't quite understand how weed killer also speeds along the ripening process.
