United Airlines staff isn’t concerned this man could potentially spreading COVID to other passengers. No, they are upset by his blatant disobedience and disrespect of the silly rules that have been put in place for “safety” by their authoritarian leaders.

And of course with him wearing that “Let’s Go Brandon” tshirt, he might as well be Osama Bin Laden, a child rapist, or a mass shooter in their very conditioned minds.

when interviewed yesterday he said he planned on turning around and pulling the same stunt for a different airline later that day. and that he’s perfectly fine with the ban punishment.

That's funny but, damn. Airliners are private property and owned/leased by a particular company.

Why not wear that damned mask just long enough to through your 9 hour flight?

Oof. I just realized how that read. It sounded better in my head.

My point was that anything under a properly fitted N95 (which is every mask I see) leaks. Badly. In an enclosed space like that masks and air filters aren't doing shite other than fulfilling the fear-driven social optics requirement for the company to say "See? We're doing something!"

For those filters to work on anything (not just aerosolized COVID particles) they would need to damned near completely surround every seat. Since they obviously don't, the statement about the filters is just for show.
