I'm not a fan of the restrictions at all but I will say I am JUST getting over a bout with COVID and these "new" variants are no fricking joke.

I woke up Monday morning feeling like I had just been beaten with 5 baseball bats.

100%. People who’ve never gotten COVID like to brush it off and think it’s just a mild cold when it’s nothing like that. When I got it, it was 8 days of pure misery. Extreme lethargy, brain fog, delirium, elevated heart rate from fever, etc.

The covid brain was fricking terrible. I’d never felt brain fog to that extreme, not even when I had on and off bouts of insomnia before. Everything looked dimmer and my mind was like a fricking static TV channel with no signal.

Nah, lil guy.

Similar symptoms but I've had plenty of colds and have NEVER experienced body aches and fever to the degree I've had this week.

I know this goes against the regurgitated narrative your overlords at FOX News instruct you to spew anytime someone disagrees, but really, stop being such a lil guy, lil guy.

Not a big deal that it was cancelled. You guys are making a mountain out of a mole hill.

It’s just two weeks to flatten the curve.

The shite is about to hit the fan. There are 3 very dangerous variants floating around right now. They should postpone that game and give both teams a week to get vaccinated and then they can reschedule the game.

GTFO with this fear porn.

None of the restrictions did jack shite the first time around and they aren't going to stop any airborne viruses in the future.

And administering these "vaccines" to the youngest and least vulnerable when they have proven heart related side effects is beyond stupid.

Who gives a shite? There's no fix, this bug is gonna be with us forever.

Life goes on and asking our esteemed government overlords to regulate every aspect of our lives isn't going to change it.

Funny how this "surge" comes just before election season...

No really. There has been a summer surge every year since the pandemic started. This year is no different. In fact, this is the least consequential of the four summer spikes.

Had it twice. I've had colds that were worse.

Out of an abundance of caution, the game between Palm Beach Gardens High School and Vero Beach High School has been postponed until next week because of the virus.

The district said COVID-19 cases are impacting Palm Beach Gardens High School football players but not the entire school.

Its hilarious reading all the sky is falling posts in this thread tho. Covid really broke people.

Remember when it was just two weeks? Then we can go back to business as usual. No big deal, right?

What covid restrictions have we been under the past year? I haven't wore a mask since January 2022 and that was at Universal studios theme park (I got covid anyway)

There is a not so insignificant portion of society that can’t wait to put the mask back on, sit home for a few weeks watching tik tok, and collect another stimulus check (this is their big hope).

Weird. I caught it 2 years ago, had fever one day felt achy for 3. No worse than common cold. Didn’t get the vaccine. Haven’t caught it since

My wife still hasn’t caught it for the first time yet unless it was asymptomatic. Also unvaxxed
