How on earth could that be enforced lol
Louisiana license plates would be a good way to start- not sure what/where the quarantine area would be.
There are areas in florida that are not badly impacted right now. An influx of people from Louisiana and New York is how those areas become badly impacted.

Whatever. In a month Louisiana will be doing the same to Florida and Texas. This shite will be circulating for a while.

The Government is really flexing and stretching their powers right now. They do it once, they will do it again. With or without a pandemic.
What's scary about it is how little this is being questioned among the general population. Not saying that it's necessarily the wrong actions, but so many people seem to be content to just comply without even asking if it's the right thing to do. Once they've done it the first time, it's easier to keep doing it and inching forward with each succession. Add to that the things that can be slipped in while everyone is distracted. Recently, the earn it bill was introduced to greatly erode your privacy rights. Also, one of the most comprehensive gun control bills (think of all the points that gun control proponents advocate for, they are just about all in this single bill) has been introduced in both houses of Congress. Look at some of the things they tried slipping into the relief bill. And yet these things are getting the attention they deserve because the populace has been whipped into a frenzy because of a bunch of fearmongering. To be honest, because of this whole episode,I'm not feeling very good about the future of this country.

That's because they don't want to be label "coronavirus tough guys". They have so many blowhards that will attack you if you even question the severity of this situation. Had my experience last week.

Is there a gif of Bugs Bunny sawing Louisana off the map

Two things.
One-LoL at Florida thinking they don’t have it just as bad after spring break. You’re just going to peak like three weeks after Nola.
Two-this is likely unconstitutional. There’s serious P&I implications raised here. I assume they’d argue they aren’t prohibiting other states citizens from traveling....but they’re treating them different than their own.

If they quarantine Florida citizens that are traveling back from Louisiana as well, then they could probably get away with it.
Maybe.

and you can bring this up when the courts reopen after the pandemic is thought to be under control

Federal courts are still open dude. You get a TRO stopping this within a week.
I mean it might fly, you never know. But P&I between states has historically been interpreted very strictly against states. If this was allowed then states could use this as a measure to strongly discourage their citizens from visiting other states.
“Anyone who visits state X can’t leave their house for a month when they come back.” Well a lot less people go to State X. Exactly what P&I has been interpreted to prohibit

Louisiana should help Florida. I say that all law enforcement in Louisiana should be ordered to impound all commercial traffic (trucks, trains, planes, barges, other vessels) in or passing through Louisiana destined for Florida. I mean it’s for their own good right? Then when there is no gasoline for Florida residents or coal for their power plants, we can talk about it again.

Florida already working on another way to squirm out of their arse whipping in the Swamp on October 10, 2020

I am not sure what authority is being invoked to detain someone based solely on the state they are from? This is a law school exam question.
Posted on 3/27/20 at 5:59 pm to Lsuhoohoo
Governor DeSantis is a dope. Over 5,000 people a day arrive to Florida by way of air travel from NYC. Let’s use our limited law enforcement resources to shake down people with Louisiana tags.
In keeping with other unenforceable orders he’s requested that arsonists stop buying matches and graffiti makers immediately stop buying spray paint.
