6 ways of getting exactly 5 tails. So 6 out of 2 to the 6th or 6 / 64. Just under 10 percent

This is the correct answer. No idea why you're getting downvoted.

Each event is an independent 50/50 chance. So .5 to the 6th power ! Very low odds !

Yeah I am with this answer too. Not sure how 3/29 got declared correct.

The same as getting exactly one heads out of six flips

He calculated probability.

Odds = Probability/(1-Probability)

O = (6/64) / (1-(6/64))

O = (3/32)/(29/32)

O = 96/928

0 = 3/29

Oh I see now. Yeah 3/29 is correct for odds, about 9.4% is the probability

ETA although thinking about it, it's counterintuitive to describe odds in a fraction like that. You'd describe it as a ratio. 3/29 is 10.something percent, which is not the likelihood of flipping exactly 5 tails

I just thought it was an interesting question because people talk about probability and odds meaning the same thing. They don’t. Also math odds usually have no similarity to sports betting odds.

Whatever the odds are, they are much higher than going to Vegas and consecutively betting 6 times on "Red" on the roulette wheel and winning 5 times. Amazingly the house has much greater odds of beating you 5 out of 6 times on a basically 50/50 bet. It's really uncanny.

Other way of looking at it:

You're playing a sucker game and that shite is rigged.

3/29 is a ratio. It's the number of successes per number of failures.

Take a probability of 3/4. The odds would be calculated as (3/4)/(1-3/4) = 3/1 (3 successes for every 1 failure).

It is. I think it's better represented 3:29 so that it's clear that it means 3 to 29 and not 3 out of 29 as the fraction form implies.

With a two-headed coin?

Exactly Zero.

Is “exactly” supposed to mean only, as in not 6 and no heads?

If so, I’d say zero.
