Catchy beat

Also under 200 years ago the city had 6% black people. Looks like ebb and flow to me

No lie...that song is money, and he ain’t wrong.

Whether it’s a good thing or a bad thing? Mixed reviews

ETA: I’ll take this over the mumble bumble rap shite any day.

When most people say they dislike “culcha” it’s isn’t “black culture”, it’s this ghettofied, violent, no responsibly, section 8 hellhole created by LBJ’s great society and the Democrats to keep blacks ignorant and easily controlled by promoting things behind the scenes that keep them in relative poverty and destroy their futures and communities.

Well, he’s not wrong.

Bunch of non-Louisiana liberals moving in changing the culture. That’s a fact.

So when all the black people moved in that didnt change the culture. Like I said not even 160 years ago they made up 6% of the population. Its what happens. Cities change over time. Neighborhoods evolve.

Actually just in the 1950s it was still majority white. Black people really do cry alot.

He’s not wrong, but he needs to take it up with his liberal friends. It’s the trust fund liberals that are moving in, not white people that grew up in New Orleans.

Oh so black people don’t like their culture being destroyed just like they destroy white people culture? Super glad New Orleans is being gentrified.

Was expecting to hate it but pleasantly surprised. Catchy beat and clear thoughtful lyrics I could understand. Nice.

So the Native American cultural warrior in the picture is wearing European American clothing while complaining about a European American wearing Native American clothing?

A bunch of stupid, but a pretty good song. The guy has style. Couple of points:

1. Sure they built an interstate through Treme, but they built one through Old Metairie, too.
2. He criticizes bike lanes. Really?
3. Criticizes people for criticizing littering. Really?

What he missed...

Us white people also criticize the gun fights and murder. Let me suggest a lyric:

They come party on Bourbon Street
Complain about the killin spree...Gentrify till the culture gone!

In his second verse he says they enjoy the second lines but then call the next day and complain about the trash.

That really isn’t gentrifying. That’s just not wanting your city to look like shite.

Third verse he says they won’t go through the projects. Well.......yeah. I’m sure there are a lot of native Nola folk who would do the same.

Song is still an absolute banger.

I believe if we can get people to pay attention we can unify 80% of the country in hating white leftists.
