In both Oregon and California, the red parts of the state are the poorest and trashiest parts, and pretty much utterly dependent on the blue parts for what little they do have.

I didn't realize San Francisco and their maps to avoid homeless people's shite was a red area.

You are going to see many areas in the country split.
You think ANY other political entity would take Arkansas off the U.S.’s hands?

I don’t see why they wouldn’t. Idaho is getting a Cali influx like everyone else so they’d love to have some conservative infusion to offset that.

The Californians that move to Idaho are mostly conservative. Idaho has gotten redder with the influx of Californians.

Most of my transplant neighbors from California (and Oregon and Washington state) are conservatives.

this was my original point with my first post about Idaho having to approve

if we can just declare ourselves part of another state, I'll start the petition of Caddo to declare ourselves part of Texas immediately

The SF Bay Area's GDP is $532B. That's almost as much as the entire state of Virginia

I feel bad for people in eastern Oregon/Washington, central/southern Illinois and everywhere in Minnesota outside of the twin cities. Their votes are completely wasted due to huge metro areas in one part of the state.

So you feel bad when it’s the other way around too?

Yeh, wine country and orange county are just trashballs

Parts of Eastern Oregon are officially classified as desert. I take it you've never been there or flown over. It's brown, similar to the Denver area. It's nothing like what you think of when someone says Pacific Northwest (lush forests).

There aren't any large metro's controlling state politics who lean right.

Oregon and Northern Cal had the State of Jefferson as their target escape in the mid 1900's. Idaho and Eastern Washington wanted the State of Lincoln..

State of Jefferson

State of Lincoln. 1865

Vaccinating the blazers and university of Oregon players shouldn’t take too long.

Yep, the last of the mountain states to be invaded.

Actually the interesting thing about Idaho is that instead of turning more blue like Wyoming or Montana, it's actually turning more red. Apparently most of the people moving there are conservatives from California, Oregon, and Washington that are tired of the bullshite.

ETA: I see Anfield already beat me to it.

I applied for 2 jobs in Boise last week on a whim.

We shall see if anything comes from it.

Park City is the closest I can come up with but I don't know if it's true anymore.
