WAFB has hit two straight duds with their Investigator reports. They need to leave the investigative reporting to Nak

People that deal with death as part of their job often use humor and bluntness about the issue of death, as a coping mechanism. Nothing they said surprises me and I think it's a non issue.

Spot on.

Every soldier, firefighter, LEO, and hospital employee would be fired if open conversations were secretly recorded.

What the cops said was very mild. I don't see a problem with it.

They should be fired for being dumbasses and not knowing the recorder was running.

At least we know they aren’t on loan from NASA.

This seems to imply they did something wrong. What exactly did they do wrong?

I don't really see anything bad in that. That just normal unfiltered conversation. Truth is rough at times

They make $17.00 and hour, unless you have an expired brake tag they will not put any effort in anything.

Other than the part about the dad sending them a 2 page email and freaking out, etc, it sounded like a conversation that anyone else would have when discussing a story like this.

The only thing I see, that would be an issue, is them criticizing the dad. His son was missing so he was acting like many parents would act. Other than that, it's just a normal conversation that would be common to hear anyone having.

They got busted by a recorder which is one thing but as far as them commenting on the Dad. I would bet money LSUPD gets these calls from parents once or twice a day and 99.9% of the kids are just shacked up with some skank they met at the bar. This is only an issue because this .01% of the time the kid went and killed himself.

And I wouldn’t be emailing or calling anyone. I would be camped out in their offices making sure they were working the case.

I would not have enjoyed hearing them speak so matter of factly about the child I just lost but there’s nothing wrong with this conversation.

That’s why you shouldn’t listen.

Some things are just better left unheard.
