Not if your company follows the chain of command as they should. Sounds like the boss' boss doesn't have enough to do, or the boss just sucks.

7-330 is normal business hours at my PoB. the strange ones are the ones who don't roll in till 8-830

Early morning hours are twice as productive...you can get much more done before people start wasting your time.
This! I normally get into the office around 7 AM everyday. However in the last year we have more and more employees showing up at that time and my time started to get wasted. I've recently started showing up at 6 AM instead and now I'm getting more shite done than ever.
This is the reason. If I get here early enough I can pretty much be done by morning meeting at 10 am. If I don't then my morning reports get pushed back and I don't have a clue whats going on at all the rigs I watch. I get more done from 630-800 than I do the rest of the day.

Don't lie. You come in early to read the OT and play on the internet in peace. You don't actually start working until your colleagues show up.

Im the opposite. I want to play on the interwebz all day. Thats why I get here early and knock it all out.

I use the early morning hours to get some of the minutia out of the way. And yes, that may or may not involve reading TD on the office terlet.

I like how all these people are saying how early they get to work, yet they are posting on td.com

I have the unique position of being the only one here in the building the first half of the day, and lock the doors behind me.
My morning routine cosists of getting in, checking out TD, sometimes throwing on an album on youtube, and sipping on coffee. After about 30 minutes I relieve myself of the coffee then start doing actual work.

No. your boss sucks. Still, you should be first in and last out if you want to make it in this harsh world.

Child porn on his computer...now you're the boss.
Win/win.
Win/win.

I'm first in and last out most of the time. There are only two employees though.

Unless you're the boss, boss. Now get back to work

I am going through the exact same thing in my office. I get in at 730 and only take a 30 minute lunch while every one else takes an hour. I leave at 4 and I get to hear them bitch about me leaving early. It's starting to make me look for another job. If i'm done with me work for the day why would i stay in the office to twiddle my thumbs? my arse is going home.

Yep

also, I do more and better work in 30 minutes, than most the imbeciles running around here do all day.

Makes me feel better. But I do feel a bit guilty despite the fact I do more than 95% of the office. Crazy huh
