Wow. It was always busy but had gotten "urban" lately and then they had that shooting in the parking lot. I guess the owners said "frick it."

The mellow in Covington just closed but this is surprising the Burbank location has as well.

mellow is closing a bunch of locations.
Covington and Metairie both closed last year.
the BR Mr. Ronnies wasn't as good as the Houma location, but it was still pretty good. The original Mr. Ronnie's are tGOAT in the donut world.

The Southside of LSU is going to turn into a shite hole.
Too many cheap apartments were built too fast.
Plus nothing being done about Tigerland.
20 years from now the Northside will be the nice side once LSU grows a pair and levels the Bottom.

The north side of campus could be amazing if they'd just bulldoze everything from the north gates to Downtown.
It won't happen as long as we have SJW's leading BR and LSU, though.

The Baton Rouge pizza market has become very competitive recently - Lit, City Slice, and Rotolo's Craft & Crust have all opened up near campus within the past year or two. That probably is at least part of the issue.
