Anybody have a recommendation / contact info for someone who can deliver a quarter cord of firewood in Baton Rouge this week? The guy I have used for years evidently has a new number and I can't get in touch with him.

Ask for Phillip. Great prices and his wood is seasoned and stored in a warehouse

Go buy a chainsaw, a maul, a splitting wedge, and sledgehammer. If you don't have property, find a friend that does. It's a good workout and will save you money.

What is a good price for...say half a cord? Around $220?

I live in the back of Riverbend subdivision- just grab a truck and you can pickup all the wood you want on the side of the road - it’s amazing

Any more info on this? I've seen people say this in past threads, but is there any contact info or anything like that? I likely live very close to him.

I'm surprised you could post that with the Seven Years' War raging around you.

Yeah, that'll come in handy when it dries by next year

We have a wood burning fireplace but it might get cold enough to light the thing 3 times per year. I usually just grab a few bags at the grocery store for those few days. A cord of wood would probably rot on my back porch before I burned it.

OP - there's a place that usually sells it on Old Hammond between Millerville and O'Neal. Not sure if they deliver or not.

My sons sell it for their winter cash. We have about 10 cords of oak cut and split in the barn. I’m in SW Ms (Liberty) if anyone needs some up this way for their camp.
