There’s no feeling quite like finding something new and convenient nearby that will be a part of your life going forward.

I just found out there’s a cheap deli around 90 seconds from my house. I’ve obviously seen the building but the actual signage never took.

Went there today for lunch. $6 lunch combos. What a deal!

Not necessarily a hidden gem but I found a new love for Thai food later in life.

I tear Pad See Ewe up weekly for lunch

Pad see ew is much better than pad Thai. I honestly hate that peanut flavor they put in so many dishes.

Absolute favorite Thai dish is the coconut milk and chicken soup.

In all seriousness it really is the little things in life that make it worth living every day.

I found a hole in the wall diner around me from a food board recommendation and it is awesome.

Just one old guy (the owner) who sits behind a big flat top and shoots the shite with old dudes all morning. A few booths and that’s it.

I go by once or twice a month before work and it’s so peaceful to sit by myself for 30 minutes have a coffee and talk sec football

Tom kha gai!!! Love that stuff. Made some this week. If you can find some galangal and lemongrass it’s sooo super easy to make and really fast.

Found a few trails in the woods behind my subdivision that lead into a nearby state park. Walking them will be lots of fun and exercise. Gotta get dem steps!

Home Depot 5 minutes from my front door.

It's made me extremely lazy in picking stuff up because I know I can go back and get what I forgot
