I cba to look up the laws in Pennsylvania, but they probably have a separate statute that covers this, like Louisiana does. 17 is the age of consent in Louisiana, but then we also have this on the books: LINK

Yep. It's b/c she's his coach(positions of authority). And granted it's a big nasty looking charge, but she will not have to register as a sex offender.

Just like in Louisiana.

Nice! I’ll bet the kid was as happy as the dogs that got their little red rockets ridden by that chick.

I truly feel sorry for the 17yo kid. Now he has a serious Poke-Her gambling problem.

Haven't read the thread, how many folks have played the "what if was your daughter and it was a man" thing?

When I was 17, I was in college.
When you are 17, you can fricking enlist in the Army.

When you are 17, you can bang a hot 26 year old and not have it treated like it's child molestation.

All that said, I'll never understand why these women can't just find an 18 year old to bone that's already graduated?

Would you feel the same if it was a 26 year old male coach with a female high school student he was coaching?

Sorry for not reading all this. Just thought I’d point out that the current Premier of France had sex with his 44 year old teacher when he was 17. Then, he married her.

Also, she just possibly pissed away her chances of ever being in a teacher/coaching role again if convicted. They could strip her teaching certificate.

A several years back in 2012, a female teacher at South Lafourche engaged in similar activities (she was 29, he was 17), and she pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge.

She resigned after the incident. In 2013, she tried to renew her teaching certificate with BESE, but it was revoked when the charge came up in the review process. An article at the time said that she could reapply in 3 years, but what school district would want to take that chance with that charge on her record.

Unless the charge could be expunged after so many years, and when she reapplies for her teaching certificate, she could regain her certification since the charge is no longer on her criminal record, but it would still be in her employment records within the school district that she diddled a student.

I believe, husband was and still is a teacher at the school, and I think they are still married.

I have to personally inspect the coach and she has to do the moves she put on the boy on me.

Then I will report back to you guys.

So far I am thinking not guilty.

All coaches have kids cell phone numbers. They setup group text for groupme chats to inform them

This is laziness on the part of coaches. Believe it or not, you can set schedules ahead of time and communicate changes in person, as it has been done forever until 2014.

As someone else noted, there are also communication apps teams could use to avoid this.

Coaches needing high schooler cell phone numbers isn’t necessary and almost certainly reflects unhealthy priorities in our society.
