They should put all the migrants to work rebuilding and cleaning up
the hurricane mess.

Make them earn that free money.

Then kick their asses out of our country

One thing I hope is that people are able to differentiate between this bureaucratic funding mess and the real work that is being done now on the ground by people and groups that are directed by FEMA. Those people are beholden to the higher ups as much as the people reliant on them, they're caught in the middle of the shitshow.

There are task force teams from all across the country that have been dispatched to the areas suffering from Helene. These teams are made up of people local to other towns. They are firefighters, paramedics, engineers, search and rescue specialists, etc. There are search and recovery teams with cadaver dogs who will search neighborhood by neighborhood and up and down riverbanks for those who didn't make it so that their families can have closure. There are structural engineers who will survey crumbling homes and buildings to keep those working to rescue the living as safe as possible. There are high water rescue teams who were in the water before it calmed, saving people. These are groups of 20, 60, 80+ who were dispatched from FL to Viriginia and everywhere in between, even prior to landfall. They come from NC, VA, GA, OH, WV, MD, MS, FL, TN, KY, AZ, MO, MI, and many other states. These are the people who are responsible for literally picking up the pieces, and they will see and experience things that none of us want to see or experience.

There have been plenty of people shitting on the response, a lot of it completely made up, even to the point that they say there has been no response. People are being manipulated into believing nothing is being done, and too many people have no desire to verify what they are told. It is sad.

I have ex military friends begging for people with private helos to go airlift supplies because Fort Campbell has yet to get the greenlight to go help.

The government response to this has been an absolute joke. If the shoe was on the other foot right now, Kanye would be saying Kamala hates white people. But hey, we arent allowed to criticize someone who earned her way to the top, right?
