re: Fellas, would you be ok with your girlfriend/wife having a male trainer at the gym?

Making a decision to hire a trainer who is male versus female, doesn't indicate that a woman has intent to be unfaithful.

And depending on the gym or setting, sometimes you don't get to make that designation.

I agree with you, but it's also not that simple. There are so many additional factors that go into this equation, like marital health, partner attention, etc.
You get some hunky dude touching (and yes they do touch) a chick while teaching them form, technique, etc., primitive feelings and emotions change and definitely weaken that marital bond that might be shaky already.
It's the fragility of human emotions on display and it happens a lot unfortunately.
That's my larger point (that I posted in the next post). If you're afraid of your partner/spouse cheating there's bigger issues in the relationship or within yourself.
Make sure you pick a good partner that shares the same values and work to maintain a healthy relationship and the odds of them stepping out is pretty low.

I think it's OK if it's in a group session. I see these crossfit gangs all the time where the trainer is instructing about ten people. The risk there is your wife ends up f-ing someone in the crossfit group.

No. My wife isn't a cheater and if she was, she'd find a way.
Also, aren't all those male trainers at the gym gay?

Now ask (former Patriots QB) Tom Brady this question.
I can't recall the comedian but he observed that if Tom Brady and Elvis can't trust their wives with their trainers (Elvis' wife cheated with her karate instructor) what hope is there for us lesser men!

Of course. I've spent countless years in the gym, the stories I could tell. It's not restricted by gender at all. The gym is a strange setting where narcissistic people (of varying degrees) congregate. It's very easy to sway from the righteous path, especially if your marriage is weak.
I've seen way too many people ruin their lives from gym stuff.

As I said in my previous post, my reply was geared towards private training. If it's public training, then it takes extra effort to plan the cheating, which at that point I wouldn't consider a "mistake."

One of my teachers in high school ruined her 25+ year marriage with her personal trainer -lost her job at the school too
Trainer eventually left her for a younger woman

If you can’t trust your wife to have a male trainer then you should probably find a better wife.

I realize that I said "anyone," so apologies for that. I meant why would anyone not training for the olympics or a pro sports league need a personal trainer.

Similar thought to me how alcoholics need to stay away from alcohol to avoid drinking

The point went way over your head. If the best athletes in the world need trainers, than people going to the gym likely need them more.
Most of those athletes already know how to train. Majority of people going to the gym load up a bar then do quarter squats, and look and laugh at guys doing 225 arse to grass

You're not wrong, but you can't deny that opportunity is part of the equation. This is just my opinion, but I think there are tons of people who would never seek out an affair, but also don't have the willpower to turn it down under the right circumstances. It's not the worst idea to avoid social settings where you know damn well there will be temptations.

But only a cheater can cheat. Opportunity is only part of the equation. And if opportunity is the thing stopping your spouse from cheating you are in a bad spot. And I would rather than bandaid make go ahead and be ripped off then trying to go through my relationship worrying about her being in situations where she might have opportunities to cheat

They need trainers to put up elite times/distances/etc. Regular people don't need a trainer to get in shape. John Doe CPA doesn't need to pay a trainer to shave a 1000th of a second off of his 100M time

But…you are heterosexual correct?
And in a scenario (death, divorce, knock on wood) where your husband was not your husband, you would be “enticed by other penises” and absolutely not “enticed by lesbian vagina” right?
This isn’t me saying heterosexuals shouldn’t have opposite-sex trainers, this is me giving an answer to:
